There were only two main important anime series that include action in which I could give an anime bundle review for Wednesday’s and Thursday’s. The anime series I have chosen for this anime bundle review are The Rising of the Shield Hero and The Promised Neverland, and I wholeheartedly recommend you watch these series.
I know it seems like there aren’t enough anime series I’m including this anime bundle review, but the anime I could include in this review are not worth watching, and I’m really here to direct you to the best quality action anime around.
Down below I will give my short review of each series episodes and where they rank on my roster.
#1 The Promised Neverland Episode 5
In this episode, Norman discovers that Ray is the traitor, but things are not quite as they seem. The three main group of characters have important moments in this episode, although, Don and Gilda get more focus and development than usual.
What I felt from this episode was suspense, worry about some characters, surprised in one scene, and a sense of optimism coming from the character Emma. The themes of this episode are ideas such as playing your enemy at their own game and gathering as much information as possible before making a move. This episode continues the series great streak of cinematography, and I also noticed a couple new soundtracks in the episode.
#2 The Rising of the Shield Hero Episode 5
Naofumi decides to buy a filolial egg, which should be capable of hatching into a bird that can be raised and used as a form of transport. When Lute Village is in trouble of being taken over by Motoyasu and unfairly taxed, Naofumi enters into a racing competition in order to save the village. The main character goes through an interesting development in this episode, and a new character gets introduced as well.
Naofumi and Raphtalia struggle a bit at the beginning of the episode, but the overall episode was mostly fun and lighthearted. The main theme of this episode is about how having more allies or friends makes you stronger. The cinematography was not as great as last week’s episode, but the animation was fascinatingly hyperactive during the race that Naofumi took part in with his filolial friend.
Final Thoughts for Anime Bundle Review on February 6-7 of 2019
This was a very short and simple article of two of the best anime series that come out Wednesday’s and Thursday’s during winter anime season of 2019. Another anime series I could have added to this list and that I am fairly entertained by is Karakuri Circus, but it’s not a good enough series for me to even give it a ranking of #3 in my article. You can watch Karakuri Circus if you want, but I recommend sticking with The Promised Neverland and The Rising of the Shield Hero.
The Promise Neverland episode 5 deserves to be at #1 because of its complex plot and characters, engaging themes, and creative animation even though there’s no action in the episode. Now, I gave The Rising of the Shield Hero a rank of #2 because the plot was not as complex as the plot in episode 5 of The Promised Neverland, but it did have great animation by the last half of the episode.
Please let me know if you have anything to say about where I ranked these episodes down in the comments section below.
